I personally haven’t ever seen the northern lights in real life. Regardless of that I still wanted to make a painting of them. I had to spend some time browsing photos of this natural phenomenon to gain a better understanding of it. One of the aspects of painting that I really love is the way I'm able to create a feeling of entering
into a brand-new place where I haven’t been. For me, it’s a positive way to escape reality for a few hours in a day and create one on my own. Or should I rather call it recreating reality since my art is quite realistic?
Either way, I’m really grateful for having this gift and for being able to share my work with others.

All my paintings have been made with much love and care. I use professional-grade acrylic paint that is fade-resistant and stays vivid for many years. This painting has been framed with a high-quality wooden frame.
