Grabbing the paintbrush and starting to work on this piece - I definitely had a vision in mind. But the vision was rather based on what kinds of emotions I wanted to provoke in a viewer who’s looking at the final result. “Grandiose” was the word that popped into my head and I continued working around it. Switzerland is a country that offers landscapes just like that - exactly what I was looking for.
The painting is varnished for protection, and arrives ready to hang.
