I love the artistic process of not only simplifying shapes but also modifying them into something new, and that's exactly what I did in "The Shapes of North Cascades”.
In this piece, I chose to emphasize the unique nature of an untouched wilderness of North Cascades by giving the foreground a disorderly appearance and contrasting it with the magnificent appearance of the clouds. I intentionally shaped the clouds in an unnatural way to create a sense of order in the sky that does not exist in reality.
The painting is varnished for protection, and arrives ready to hang.
Includes a certificate of authenticity.
