With this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling of being in the middle of a hike - surrounded by colorful fields of blooming flowers. It’s that mix of awe and stillness that comes from being fully present, paired with the quiet excitement of knowing there’s more of the trail to explore. The scene takes place on an early autumn day in Yosemite National Park.
