With painting this landscape, my intention wasn’t to describe a specific place or showcase its beauty. The goal was rather to capture an emotion that often occurs in me during the wintertime. Estonian winters are usually cold, snowy, and dark - darkness and the caused feeling by it was the thing that I intended to describe by capturing this landscape.
